I’ll be honest- I am no health
nut. While we are making confessions, until the last month I rarely touched
anything green, unless you count mint chocolate chip ice cream.
What I do love is a good trend. With the green smoothie fad sweeping grocery
stores and Tumblr blogs as far as the eye can see, I gave in: I tried green
smoothies.
Now the thought of a liquid salad is definitely a turn off, but it sure doesn’t
taste that way. I will draw the line at kale chips (I don’t know how you
foodies do it), but in all honesty, the leafy vegetable has become a staple in
my otherwise non existent breakfast routine. Without further adieu, here is my
recipe for the healthiest (and tastiest) drink you will ever catch me with!
Ingredients
-1 Cup Kale (I prefer frozen)
-1 Banana
-5-7 Strawberries (The more berries, the
less kale you taste!)
-1 Cup Coconut Water
-1 Handful of Ice (I’m not big on
measurements)
-1 Teaspoon Honey
Blend it all together and this is what you get!
